I bought a new batch of fluoro for my spinning combo. Its a pretty decent line, but it keeps on springing off the reel after I cast. I think it might be a little bit too wide a diameter for the reel, but I wasn't too sure. I soaked it in some line pray, so hopefully it should help, but has anyone else had that problem and what did you do for it?

use braid with a fluoro leader

To much line.

Too much line on the real and too heavy lb test.

Or you wound it on backward.

To much line or you spooled it backwards.

Fluoro and Spinning Reels don't like each other. You can try Mono or Braid for the main line and a fluoro leader of about 3-5' long or maybe try and spray the fluoro with Reel Magic line conditioner.

Does anyone have any good ways to spool a spinning reel? I lay the spool face down on the ground and reel it in by hand, seems to work but takes a minute or two

Braid main line and flouro leader.

I had the same problem and was about to sell the combo when someone recommended braid. I spooled it up and have not looked back.
