Going to try and hit Texoma on Friday, anything hitting out there? It's been over a month since I've been on the water. Can't wait!!!

First thing you will notice is the lake is a lot lower than last time. Be careful and don't run aground.

And I know who "Jeff" is.

Well the bit was tuff and pretty windy, but Tripp73 ended up making the sandwiches.

What's the pattern been? Looking at giving her a whirl this weekend. I don't need GPS coordinates but general areas would be much appreciated. I'm not a tourney guy and would love some help before I make the 2 hour drive.

Are the smallies eating?

Thanks,
JRJ

We were on the lake from 7:30 to about 5:30 and landed a couple 1 to 2 pound fish in the A.M and landed the one in the picture around 2:00pm. We caught all of them off of points and the hit (bite) was very weak. Right around 1:30 - 3:00 there were tons and I mean tons of bait fish swarming all around in the coves. Saw a bass trying to catch some, but again the bite was still pretty weak. Even around 5:00 we literally put eyes on a large and watched it right in front of us as our lures just went by time after time...she didn't even budge.

We tried everything from swimbait, crankbait, worm, jig, top water, drop shot, and a carolina rig...the wind limited us on some, but overall the crankbait is what landed the fish.

Overall, the best time was around 12:00 - 3:00 in the afternoon off of crankbait. Fishing this all over the points because the bass are there, you can see them, just werent biting.

Be aggressive because the bite is weak, the one in the picture was brought in off the sure hook on a crankbait...that's all that was holding her.

Try around Eisenhower State Park...and please if you find the smallies, let us know

Good Luck, lets us know if you have any success
