How do I connect my 1198 to my laptop? I would like to do some waypoint deletions and management.

Do you have a PC and have installed HumminbirdPC? Typically what you want is done via SD card between the unit and computer software. There is a PC connect kit for software updates and waypoint management with HumminbirdPC software for units that do not have a card reader. http://store.humminbird.com/products/504287/AS_PC3
