Looking to get on some whites/hybrids on Ray Hubbard tomorrow. Anyone have any patterns or advice they can offer to a guy just trying to find some fish?

Look for birds. I found them last Thursday and the baitfish and whites were all around the birds.

As you can see on the forum there's not many reports on Hubbard, usually means its not fishing real well right now. Myself and two buddy's caught a total of 3 a weekend ago, and that's not the norm for my boat. Best bet is probably look for some birds right now. It will get better soon.

Good luck
Mike

I fished last Friday for a couple hours (1030-1230) saw birds off Robinson park when I arrived but nothing from the birds after that. It was mainly a run the boat trip but I did manage to catch a few fish. Hybrid heights and burned out bridge area were the two areas I fished.

Hubbard guys are catching good reds down by the red barn and the jetty right now. rolfmao

JK, Sept and Oct are the transitional months for Hubbard, often slow unless you are at the right place and the right time. I am off Friday and will need to run my boat and do scout fishing on hubbard. Hope I get lucky! smile

Good luck Friday Todd. Glad you are back safely from your trip to the coast.

Thanks David. I'll be sure to say hi to your boat when I see her warm and comfy under a blanket rolfmao

I don't always catch fish, but when I do, I prefer Dos Hybrids

Being in RC, there is another lake that isn't much farther that has bigger fish. I can't give away too much here but it rhymes with Mohawkoni.

There were birds and hybrids working some bait at Yankee about two weeks ago. I haven't been out since then but we whacked 'em.

With the rains and the cold nights, you've got the lake bottom mixing with the surface layer and it makes for some not-so-predictable fishing.

Best of luck...

They are definetly not working in there now. Was there from 900 to 200 yesterday and lots of bait in yankee but only largemouths working them. Now as we were leaving we noticed the bait starting to ball up and some marks below them so maybe it started later afternoon.
