Duck, you have shown........ Well never mind. It wouldn't help you.
Since I am HelpLess BoatDude here ya go! LTSA makes the lake you have been fishing for 30 years GREAT. The fish they stock replaces what "Guides" take and then some. Try other area lakes for 5 years and skip Tawakoni. You will see pretty quick what a special place it is. Guides work hard. Anglers work very hard. It flat out sucks when a DingDong runs a big motor in 10' of water with birds going nuts. Smitty gets tired of it and so do I! People are gona keep fish, and that is great. I kill some White Bass once a year for the LTSA fish fry. The more ya turn back, the better the catching. I'm done with this thread, ya'll enjoy your work week. See ya at Twak soon! I have learned a lot from guides, especially 1-2 of them and have become very good personal friends with one and hear from him several times a week, they have helped me more than I could ever repay, I have the upmost respect for 99% of them and support them completely. I just wish I lived about 92 miles north of where I do and that might just happen. I fish catch and release 100% for several reasons both fresh and saltwater and have always stated that before a guided trip.

Its Safe to say Matt Cartwright has forgotten more about TWOK than most know about TWOK. He works hard to protect this fishery, I know because I have seen it first hand. Because of the diligence and efforts of Matt and guys like Joe Reed plus many other we all have a great lake to enjoy today. Matt keep informing the uneducated masses!! Look forward to fishing with you again very soon!!

I used to keep everything legal we caught. We filet and bag them and put them in the freezer. But we never came close to eating all those fish. We gave most of them away. My Mom would trade them to her neighbor for back-yard grown vegetables. A friend would take frozen fish to his hair stylist to trade for his hair cuts. Some didn't get eaten in 2 or 3 years and got thrown out. So, I decided not to keep fish unless I was going to eat them later that day or the next. If a guest goes out with me, I'll ask if he/she wants to keep any. If not we just do catch and release, but keep it fun by keeping count of what we have caught. I tell people now, because I live on a lake, that the lake is my freezer, and, if I want fish for supper, we just go out and catch some. Same thing here. I used to keep the limits on what I caught. I give most of them to neighbors as I fished every weekend and we could not eat that much fish in a week. Now we fish several times a week, weather permitting. So I now keep the five largest to eat the next day and return all the rest to the water. If a neigbhor asks for fish I will keep five or six for them on the next fishing trip. I tell them they will need to clean the fish and some decide they no longer want them. I don't know about reducing limits. These limits are suppose to be set based on the fish population. If they did reduce limits it should be on a lake by lake basis. Some lakes may have large populations of a given fish while other lakes may be experiencing a decline in population. So a State wide limit reduction does not make sense in my opinion. It would not hurt me, since I only keep five fish per trip but I understand most people are still working and can not fish as often as I do. So a reduced State wide limit would hurt those who can not fish every day or every week.

I agree...everything in moderation. Applies to life and fishing. Took me a while to apply that one to alcohol...ha! 1+
