Just got out to the pond and some people are keeping bass well below the size limit. If anyone can post a warden number I will call ASAP Thanks

Bethany Lakes? If so, it is catch and release only so the size limit doesn't come into play. Regardless of where it is hopefully the wardens catch them.

That sucks they are doin that, but it might be nice to just let em know it is illegal before you go and get em hemmed up by the law

Warned them and they didn't really act like they cared. If you have a license there is no excuse to be negligent of the law. Burn em with fines. I'm a nice person but I'm not stupid either. If I play a sport or want to learn to do something I learn the laws. I fish saltwater and I always have a chart with species and lengths to make sure that I am not keeping illegal fish. There aren't excuses.

Did you get a hold of a warden? I agree with you that there is no excuse for not knowing the rules. If you buy a license give you the regulatory book - read it. If you don't have a license then you shouldn't be fishing anyway.

Ya, I agree with you guys that they SHOULD know the law, and if you warned em, then you did your part, but I just thought it would be a nice gesture...

after all, we all know how often we see folks coming out with the price tags still on there rods, brand new equipment, never really go fishin, just out there to drink beer in the sun... some of the people like that may just be out there every few years, and not really know...

The community lakes that are stocked would be boiling with fish if the rules were obeyed, but keeping everything keeps the ponds empty except after stocking day.

It was actually one of the ponds near the top golf in Allen. I'm not sure if those are the catch and release ponds as we'll but either way those fish were illegal. I wasn't trying to be mean and just wanted to inform them so hopefully they would release the fish but they didn't. I didn't reach the warden but I did call so hopefully one if them got out there. I saved the numbers in my phone in case I ever need them again. This pond always ah trash and stuff as we'll so I pick up the bags and things in the water. I once found a bass stuck in the ba so from now own I pick up every one I see. Thanks for the help with the numbers. Keep tight lines.

I know everyone doesn't feel the same way I do, but I love to CATCH fish. If you release them you can do it over and over. Those ponds weren't designed to feed everyonre who fishes there.
