Bought a prescription pair of Maui Jims several years ago with all the options. Cost me over $800! Couldn't see well with them. Good polarization though, but you could get that with a $10 pair of clip-ons. Complained to the ophthalmologist. He said he had a pair and had a hard time "adjusting" to them too! I wouldn't spend that kind of money on them again.

I like mine, I have them and Oakley's because they are the only polarized sunglasses that I can get a prescription in. Costa's are great but they don't carry my prescription, I have a horrible stigmatism!

Maui Jim glasses are excellent glasses. And despite the situation above, they are known for their excellent support and lifetime warranty. I had a buddy who owned a pair for about 5 years, he got a scratch on a lens and one hinge was starting to loosen up. He sent them in, they sent him a brand new pair no questions asked after 5 years of wear and tear.
Every massed produced product will have their odd issues both quality and QC, but overall they are a highly respected manufacturer in that industry.
