I wanted to share these and will be doing so on the feild and stream side of the forum. I hope that we will never forget the greatest generation this great country has had. What was fought for and what was lost. We are slowly loosing some of the greatest men and woman this country will ever know. Along the line we were all touched by them in some way or another. These are a few peices my grandpa brought back from WWII. The gun is a Japanese ariska rifle and the original owner fought for a very long time. The barel is warped from repeated fire yet it still fires great. I truly love the action on this gun and it functions as if it was new. It springs back as soon as the bolt is lifted and assist reloading. I do also have the bayonet but it was not available for photo. The top of the barrel is a 16 petel chersanthamum flower that was a symbol that ment it belonged to the emperor. I think in came out in 1905. The knife is the hitler youth knife. It was carried by the boys in the paramilitary youth movement from 1922-1945. It was carried as part of there uniform. It was also given to decorated officers and as gift for high test scores. If I understand correctly these knives are very rare. I often find my self looking at them as Ian reminded of stories I was told by my grandpa, and thought I would like to share them with others. Hope you enjoy.

My Granddad used to hunt with his 6.5. Ariska had 2 1 stock and 1 modernized he said it was like shooting a death ray at a deer mean looking round fun to shoot.. Cool pics thanks for sharing..

May we never forget where we came from, honor those who fought and gave all and support those still fighting for us today..
