Ok so when I see bullets, allisons, stroker or even gamblers for sale, I don't look at them like they have been taken good care of. Seeing how they are made and what they are intended for makes me think they are a very wet ride and would probably fall apart in time. I understand they were built for speed but something about them makes me think they have been ragged out and are not worth the 30k+ price tag for anything prior to 2008. Don't mean to get anyones feelings butt hurt posting this but just wondered if anyone else has this on their mind when seeing these boats?

probably as well kept as any ranger or skeeter, you don't invest that kind of money in a bass boat and just go out and tear it up.
as far as ride, I have been told that bullets and gamblers are pretty good rough water boats, not a champion but still good.
if I had the money a gambler would be on my short list of new boats.

I don't agree at all. I see a lot of boats and meet a lot of boaters.... Fastbass types of guys seem to be real savy with repairs and maintenance. The fast boats around Fork seem to be low hour garage queens that see a lot more cruising hours than "fishing" hours.
There are 2 Allisons I see every year that are 15+ years old that look brand new besides the old school motor cowl.

Most Fast Boats are well taken care of as a rule, that's what those guys do, I used to be one of them. Just because a boat is fast doesn't meant it takes a pounding. The fast boat guys tend to like little waves, not big waves cause they like to go fast. The big water boats that get tournament fished at lot on the big water lakes are the ones that get pounded in some cases.
Thanks, Billy

My buddy owners a Gambler. Best riding and driest boat I have been in so far. We were on Falcon a few years back with 4 ft rollers and stayed dry as a bone. Very fun to ride in and scary fast. One other thing, the front deck is huge! We both fish off the front and had plenty of room to throw cranks.
 Current Cylinder Index is 42.

Sounds like you need to get a little more educated on fast boats.I don't own any of the brands listed but I can tell you bullet guys take better care of there stuff then most. And all the boats you mentioned are probably some of the best built boats on the market. Also fast boat guys are some of the best drivers out there making the boat ride a lot drier then say a ranger with a bad driver.

It is what you make it. Some guys are out there just to see if they can destroy it. Others are out there to make it last as long as possible.
A good boat is like a good marriage it is what you make it.

Most the go-fast boats I see are kept in good condition and they are well built boats. When I see one for sale I don't worry about the boat, I worry about the motor. The boats are pretty solid but you know most motors have been to the limiter a few times and stay in the upper rpm ranges. It just wears them out in my eyes.

For the most part I completely disagree, most of the Allison and Bullet owners I know take way better care of their boats than most average bass boat owners.
We take alot of pride in ownership in our boats.
And just because we CAN run very hard doesn't mean we do all the time.
I can run the same speed at a much lower rpm than the average bassboat.

I own an Allison (XB21) now and have owned Bullets in the past. I have also had a few Rangers and Skeeters over the years. I would put build quality of the go fast boats equal to, or in the case of the Allison, better than any of them. As far as condition, it has been my experience that most guys with fast boats tend to maintain them better than most and the boats are generally kept in good shape. When you are in a boat capable of three numbers, it is best to keep it well maintained. There are exceptions to any rule. You see a trashed out Ferrari every once in a while, just not often. Take care of your boat and it will take care of you.
