had about a 14 inch bass jump in the boat this morning before daylight and start flopping around.....made my heart skip a beat. This every happen to anyone else?

Once. I could see a bass by a bush and threw everything in the box at it trying to get it to bite. Decided to take the dip net and try to scoop it up. When I made a lunge at the bass it jumped in the boat.

It was blind in both eyes, very skinny; but weiged 4 lbs.

Yes, just last week I had my dad in the front of my Kayak and a bass about that same size jumped and hit my dad in the shoulder then bounced off the top of the Yak and back in the lake.
It really startled dad, the fish was in about 6" of water and made a lot of noise when it jumped. I got a good laugh.

I've had a trout hit the side of the boat, but it didn't make it in...lol

No,but I have waded in the water and had a bass I caught and released swim in a circle and hit my leg, and I did jump.

Fishing Lake Fairfeld 20+ years ago in a club tournament, kids were playing in the floor of the boat....wind pushed us against some reeds and startled a bass which jumped high enough to come into the boat. Hit my daughter upside the head and she came unplugged.....all I could do to keep from laughing at the show going on

Never a bass but have had TONS of mullet jump in the boat. Especially at night bowfishing

yes, at night on Fork couple of years back. Wind was pushing us toward a shallow ridge when a 12"er jumped from the shallow side onto the deck, then flopped out to the deep side. I guess we were in his way.

I had a very small bass jump in my kayak this summer.

There was a strange, persistent noise, and I couldn't figure out what in the world it was. Finally, I found a little 5 inch baby bass flipping around behind me in my storage area.

Something similar. ...running my in-laws' trotline on Buchanan, wife and her younger sister in the boat...wind pushing us into a small rocky island. ....out he jumps, hits me square in the chest....about a 2.5 lber...nice chunky green back....I make the catch.... (unlike Crayton did when it really mattered. ...different story though)....girls were amazed. ...we had no rods in the boat at the time. ...took it back to camp to show the family. ...then released it....pretty cool experience. ..

True Story: My wife was peeing over the side of the boat and a bass jumped up between her legs while she was peeing and landed in the boat!!!! She comes running up to the front of the boat, screaming, with her pants down around her ankles!!! I laughed my butt off!!! It was a keeper! I measured it to be sure!!! Now whenever we need a fish; I ask her if she needs to pee!!!

A couple summers back I was heading down Grand Lake, OK in my families speed boat that was loaded with people. We had about a 30# spoonbill breach right in front of the boat. It was less than a foot from jumping right in. Had we been in a boat that had a bow that wasn't so tall someone could have serious got hurt!

Bank fishing during the spawn this year, I saw a ~3lb bass beach himself a good 5 feet out of the water and in the process he knocked a 4 inch shad about as far. They were only about 15 feet from me. I walked over and grabbed the bass, took a pic and threw him back. The real funny thing was after I threw the bass back, I threw the shad in and a bass about the same size inhaled it as soon as it touched the water.
