So I love the top water action like you all do. Have decent success with popper and spook. Wondering if I should buy some frogs and try it out there.
I live close to EM ( less than 1/4 mile)and have frogs around my house.
Has anyone had success with a frog on EM?
Do ya'll use a frog around docks, laydowns, etc?
Of course when you see frog catch stories it is usually around grass, pads etc...
No pads I know of on EM. Heck, not even sure if there is grass there.....?

I have had great luck on them out there under docks and in the floating boat slips. You catch it right you can have a awesome day with it. Done real well in front of the reeds when there is only about 8 inches of water left on them.

I always have a Spook, Fluke and Frog rod when top water fishing.
That Frog will get the workout in the heavy stuff if the Spook can't pull them out on the edges.
The Fluke rod is my backup for any misses that take place. It stays clip attached to my Butt Seat Bag ready for a fast draw on any missed blow ups. When I have a partner, he is always following the Spook with the Fluke in every bush I park that Spook beside. This technique has won several tournaments even when they were not blowing up on the Spook. The Spook is getting their attention and the Fluke is doing the catching. Rig it with a tiny pinch/bullet weight at the nose of the Fluke.
