Thinking about heading to fork tomorrow for a little fishing with one of my buddies. Been keeping an eye on the weather all day today and wondering if anyone else is gonna try and fish fork tomorrow or if it will even be worth the drive. I am by no means a fair weather fisherman, but being 2 college students and on a limited budget, I would rather not have to spend all that gas for my truck and boat from Dallas to Emory to be cold, wet and miserable day of fishing.

Anyone have predictions as to what the bite might be like tomorrow? Cold front, rain, cloudy skies all day, north winds...

Still leaning on going as of right now, sure beats a good day in class or at work.

Never really know this time of year. May turn them on may shut them down. Always hope for the best and give it a good go. With the water still being warm I would have to give it a try.

They don't like cold fronts.

BUT I wouldn't wait until the weekend....gonna be a tad packed with Big Tourney.

Looks like rain tomorrow....pack a rainsuit!

Yeah I figured it wouldn't be too well of a bite. Do they like top waters if it's raining? Figured I would be fishing Texas rig, Carolina rig and drops hot most of the day if it's raining. My bibs blew out of the boat last season but thank God for my duck hunting gear, I'll be warm and dry if need be.

Also, would we have a better chance on the southern part of the lake? It's only our 2nd time fishing fork and all we've fished is the north east arm of the lake near the 515 bridge. Caught a few on top waters but other than that we striked out and don't know of any other areas to try.

Will post up report for all y'all fishing the berkley tournament this weekend!

Fished it Saturday . We caught around ten fish all in the slot at canie and little mustang. On swim jigs and cane toad. Up in pockets where the shad were visible ( very shallow) I would think that the bite should be getting better . There was still a little sign of turn over.

I can't wait to fish Fork again. The creek under the 515 bridge was on when I went last.

Do a search. Couple of reports posted within last 3 days. Not much has changed from that.

Been keeping any eye on those reports as well as the weather, thanks! Your reports have been great! I'm still ready to go, guess it'll be up to my partner

I would think this front would push a bunch of bait and a bunch of fish up in the pads since they are holding heat. Places like Indian have a ton of good pads with fairly deep water nearby.
