My dang pal is all enamored w a float day on Purtis Creek, but I'm a Brazos man.
To me she's like an old girlfriend who is glad to see me, even if its only for a night, if you know what I mean. Brazos wading, river drifting, sight casting, seeing eagles... rope grass swaying in the current
The Purtis seems like a pretty young thing that'll make you work real hard, maybe for nothing. And there's no way we'll see everything anyway, with out a motor. Eh.
What would you do?
The ONLY reason to fish with a fly rod in Texas is to throw a POPPER, casting any other type fly just means you're doing something.

Reason topless bars are so popular. It's always nice to see a little strange once in a while, even if its "all for nought". I say float the new water and see what you can see, do what you can get away with.

Some times you end up at that one place in town where all the girls go that been rejected everywhere else. Better luck next time.
(Only, if you ask for advise, I ain't got any. LOL)
