This lake is big enough to have a lot of fish in it. Where are they? Anybody know how-when-where?

Very tough lake to fish, it has some awesome cats in it but it's hit and miss. I've been skunked more there than anywhere else but I've also caught a 32 and a 25 there on the same night so it's luck of the draw, I would recommend mustang point with a good north wind. Just my .02

Thanks Minner Killer. Trying to get the hang of it but I think it might be best to surrender. I miss my East Texas lakes. Lived in Mount Pleasant and was 45 minutes away from a multitude of excellent fishing spots.

I feel ya but if you're from Fort Worth I would just make the drive to grapevine, I was from Alvarado and it was an hour from any good fishing lake, but the best bang for your buck would be grapevine or lewisville

After dark shenanigans going on at Longhorn Park. People building big bonfires and singing in an unknown language. People with big casting nets not catching bait. I gotta get that GW's phone number on speed dial.

Get them, that place gets a little rough from time to time.
Catch and release into the grease!

It's on the back of your fishing license.

Get them, that place gets a little rough from time to time. I packed it in tonight when the casting net crew arrived. There were about 8 of them and one of me and if they decided they wanted my gear there wouldn't have been much I could say being unarmed. Metromess indeed.

On a brighter note. I did manage to catch one badazz hybrid who thought he weighted 10 pounds. I was fishing with live shad just off the bottom when my pole slammed down and wow!!! I thought I had a really big catfish but when he started streaking left and right I knew it was something else. Those scaly critters can be really exciting.

Hybrid on the half shell on the grill is quite tasty.

The folks who were singing around the campfire left two large bags of styrofoam plates and cups and a variety of other garbage well distributed at their campsite. Where on the earth is this accepted behavior? It's like a slap in the face really, one wonders if it isn't intentional belligerency.
