For bait cast abu is the best value for the money. If you're fine with spinning I recommend the cabelas salt striker baitfeeder reels. They're 50-60 new

Abu all the way. Ming yang is not bad. But if you plan on fishing awhile abu 6500 is tough to beat. I might also suggest if you buy used and also for maintenance such as cleaning use freds reels that guy will make em purr like new he knows what he s doing.

If i were you i would look on craigslist too. Thats where i bought alot of mine and i own 18 of them all from 30 to 60 dollar range besides a few of them.

Abu 6500 C3 just do it one at a time. I have 11 now never had one go wrong yet.

I use Abu Garcia 5500 and 6000 series round reels. They work great and are a bit cheaper than 6500s. Only down fall is they dont hold as much line as the 6500s and dont have bait clickers(5500s). But for a guy on a budget that'll get ya started.

They're ok if you buy extras pretty cheap so you'll have parts.

The inside of the Ming yangs I just got look a lot like my 6500s..but I had two shipped to my door for $76
