Fall crappie fishing at Lake Ray Roberts has always been one of the top lakes in the State to fish. Huge numbers of fish are caught most of the year but once fall kicks in, so do the large crappie. They come out of their nice little hiding places from the summer and start feeding up for the winter.

When ever the fall bite kicks in high gear the jig bite is hard to beat, unlike the summer months were live bait gets most of the numbers. TnT Jigs and Thump-it Jigs are great hand tied jigs as is Jiggum and some others. The water clarity is pretty clear so which ever jig you choose to use, be sure you have some wht/char on hand.

The lake is around 6 to 7 foot low so please be careful out there, Barn House Point runs out 2 miles or better and it is shallow. Many heart breaking trees just waiting for your lower unit. Just take your time and watch your depth and you will be fine. All the ramps on the lake are in good shape and the parks are all open, nun are COE run.

I know I haven't been posting much this last year on TFF but frankly I have been very busy and have had a lot of other issues going on. I still have some openings in October & November so if you would like me to put you on the fish this fall. Give me a shout and we will get you hooked up.

Hey Cliff this is very good news. I know we have never met in person but your reputation is far ahead of you in pure goodness. This post breaths a breath of fresh air into here. Thanks for the good info. Your post is short and concise.
