Hey guys, i have an old johnson 2 stroke 9.5 HP engine and want to do a cleaning and thinking about using seafoam, and there are less than helpful directions on the bottle. Having never used this product before, i have a few questions.
It is also a fuel stabilizer, how long can i expect to have fresh gas in a 3 gallon tank?
What is the mixing ratio? is it really the whole bottle?
I saw videos on youtube of people cleaning their engines with this and it was smoking like hell. Can i not use it in my gas and burn it while im fishing without leaving a huge smoke trail?
Ive heard good things about this product and wanted to give it a shot, i appreciate any help.

Good product for carb and injector cleaning, not a fuel stabilizer.I just replaced a lawn mower jet from gas treated with only Seafoam.A quick smell of the gas and you could tell it was bad.

for the first time I would put a half can in a gal and a half of gas/oil mix. run it at the house in a bucket (keep a hose running so the bucket always has water). this will clean out the carbon and any crud in the engine, run it for 15 mins and let sit half an hr, repeat a few times.
when done fill your tank with gas/oil and go fish, it may smoke for a bit but should not be too bad. seafoam is a stabilizer, have left gas in my boat for 2 months treated with it and not a problem when I went back out.

The can of Sea Foam does say how much to add if your storing your boat I think its 2 oz. for every one gallon. I love Sea Foam,I always put it in every tank, never used it for storage like it says you can, I always use Star Tron for fuel stabilizer and storage.

there is a seafoam spray that i was recommended. deep creep. you spray it in the carb(s) while the engine is running in a bucket. i wondered about putting some of the liquid (regular) seafoam in a spray bottle and use it like the spray can stuff and then add some from the bottle to my tank for regular use.

check the gallon price too, have found it a couple of times for cheap, worked out to less than 5.00 per 16oz.

Good price but if you go to Oreilleys and buy a gallon of it for around 50 bucks.
A tale about oil prices, I have bought it at 30 about a year and half ago and 44 about 3 months ago. Today its 51 dollars.
