Fishing Ray Roberts this weekend mad looking for some advise. Been a while since I got the boat up there. What's working these days and what kinda structure they holding on? Have they moved shallow yet? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Secondary points with grass will get you some dinks with an occasional better fish. Thats all I could come up with. All my fish came on soft plastics last Friday. Even with the front coming in I could not buy a topwater or crank bait bite.

Out today from 10 AM to 3 PM. Caught four LM Bass, all on crank baits main and secondary points with grass. All were small (9" to 15"). Had to work pretty hard for four bass, but at least I caught four bass!

I think the first wave to move up for chasing shad are all dinks as of last week but I think it will break open soon. I believe one more cool rain or cold front will push them into a solid fall pattern. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Moving or swimming baits will work at the mouth of creeks& coves.
Worms craws & jigs will come into play mid day, work ceder trees
in the upper end of Ray Roberts. For what ever reason you can
always find them there in October. White bass are on an awsome feed.
Top water & slabs. Have fun !

I would concentrate in 4-8 foot of water, and large tree bases along the north and west banks.

Fish the many COE brush piles after you have beat the 4 - 8 foot stuff. My experience is that they have not moved up shallow yet. And finish up the day in State Park Cove. Now that the water is down go in there and visually see all of those rock piles and points, I got to see it when it was 15' down years ago. I took many pictures and marked a map up. I've caught so many fish in that cove thru the years. It does get hammered a lot, but I always can catch them.
