Got to give a shout out to Alabamajack and Chris H2Os. Fishin_farmer (Cody Standerfer) with BigCrappie.com took me out on RR this past Sunday. 25 MPH gusts and 4' rollers made me fear a wasted day. Cody is a true pro. Taught me loads and then got me on the fish. We caught about 50 fish in 15-20fow on brush piles. We only kept 10 but had a hell of a good day considering the conditions. Fishing with the Thump Buddies bait and only used one color all day. The farmer. Crappie farmer I think is what it's called. Blue belly chartreuse tail. We did use some minnows on the jig but also caught fish straight jiggin. Thanks again for a memorable trip. If your thinking if a guide trip I can truly say Cody will not go wrong.

wow, that was a good job. me and wife went to look at the deer and see how rough it was. i cancelled all notions of going fishing when i saw the whitecaps. did see several deer. looked a little rough for me but i am getting a little old for weather battles.

Cody! Stay out of my baits!

Just kidding.

I don't know if that color is what makes them bite it better, than other baits. Or if is that the bait Looks So Good, you just fish with more confidence. Either way it has been Lights Out for me. Pun intended.

Cody is dedicated and I betting he worked his tail off getting you on fish, in those conditions.

Chad it was a blast fishing with you and yes the conditions were tough to say the least. I have to say that this was an absolute first for me, while I was cleaning the fish at Chad's slip like he insisted I do, he was grabbing them as soon as I would get one clean and into the grease they would go. Nothing beats a day of fishing and eating what you caught as soon as it is cleaned. I have a few pics that I will have to put on here in a bit. I look forward to seeing you out on the water putting the smack down on those crappie.
