Using Ballyhoo with a fish finder rig and all I could catch was hard heads!!!! All day long fishing from a pier.
Needless to say I am new to the whole saltwater deal but when should I be chuncking cut bait to avoid this conundrum???

Thanks for the information. So this time of year what would be the best to throw out for trout or red? I asked at the local bait shop and they put me on the ballyhoo.
