Does anyone know if there is a place to launch on Lavon right now? Last time I launched at Little Ridge my trailer went off the end of the ramp, and I think that was the last usable ramp on the lake. I heard that in previous low water conditions they have made temporary ramps out of gravel?

COE has closed all public ramps. As the guy above mentioned - it's launch at own risk at Collin Park as they are private.
Locals and COE are working to see if the OLD Little Ridge ramp can be repaired. No evaluation completed by COE yet that I'm aware of.
Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

Thanks guys. I wasn't aware that Collin was still open. A few months ago the lady at the guard shack said they would close it around 12ft low.

Thanks guys. I wasn't aware that Collin was still open. A few months ago the lady at the guard shack said they would close it around 12ft low. It's open, but has very little ramp actually in the water, maybe 2 ft. You will have to back off the ramp into the mud (at your own risk) and then getting back will be tricky. There is a pretty good ledge to get up back on the ramp. This is what can happen. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/9371157/1 Light boats may fare better. All other parks have closed ramps and now the parks themselves are closed due to govt. shutdown. The old single lane ramp at LR is a long way off. I think it needs 14' low, govt. to open and then haul in rock. Even then it is still pretty dicey. Vary narrow, leaning and some holes in it. Not a good fall!

What a shame, I had some really good trips on Lavon last fall. I guess pray for rain is about all you can do at this point.... Thanks for the info guys.
