has anyone tried those hooks with the corkscrew? (not sure what they're actually called). are they worth picking up some for weightless senkos?

They are called Hitchhiker trailers by Bass pro, I use them on a lot of plastics, helps keep the bait on the hook and from going up the line..I use them on senko/stick baits, toads (harbody), lizards, and tubes...and creature baits too...you can buy them from bass pro and add them to your favorite type of hook, will pay from themselves in just a few baits. been using them for years...so I am sold.hope that helps..

owner makes one designed by yamamoto himself. its a little on the light side and i have been having trouble with the point rolling on them. otherwise its a good hook.

I've been using the same standard 2/0 owner forever. It's a pretty light hook and I prefer the standard over the EWGs and Js for senkos.

I do not use the screw lock hooks because the senko doesn't seem to have the same fall and wiggle. I just use a 3/0 Gamakatsu offset worm hook, it's never let me down!

I noticed the same. The bait doesn't shimmy with the screw locks. Plus I think they tear up the bait worse than a worm hook.
