I'm at Scotts Landing for a session if anyone is in the area and wants to cruise by for a beer. Nice breeze, not too hot and fish are active. 214.412.9938 if you can't find me. Should be here for the next 24 hours or so. biggest fish was about 6lbs so far but I've only been here a few hours.

Going to be one of those sessions where I have to count the photos to know what I caught. Can't keep all 3 lines in the water at times.

Hell of a trip so far. Lost count of how many carp, nothing over 15lbs though. Buffs to 18lbs. I'm a big fan of korda hooks but I was bringing in fish that were hooked very shallow, just a tiny bit of lip hooked, then I lost a big fish and even a smaller fish right after that. I switched to the wider mugga and the next fish was hooked so well I had a hard time getting the hook out. My hookup ratio didn't seem to change since both hooks are very sharp but they are all solidly hooked. I had an 18lb bruiser buffalo and no fear at all of pulling that hook. thanks for the recommendation Deo. Here's the link if anyone needs to pick some up.

Had a good session, even had a few guys stop by to say hi. Lost count of how many commons I had, most were 8 to 15lbs and i was at around 30 fish when I stopped counting. Great session to knock some rust off my skills. The fish in grapevine are looking really healthy and the average size seems to be a little bigger than years past. But then there is the fish Austin caught... Here are some pics.
