This happened before due to water levels being too high for use of old original ramps and too low to not fall off the current ramps ,if its like last time they will let us use little ridge again and maybe avalon at our own risk , not a gov deal. I think you can still use Collin Park.

I've been suspecting this and have been wondering this, but knew no one I could ask who would have known and / or remembered. Thank you.

I agree with this , but I do wonder why would a person in La that currently will not get a paycheck agree to dump dirt in front of a boat ramp. I'd sure like to think that most Texans woud say "do what!" if some supervisor said to dump a load of dirt in front of a boat ramp that otherwise is unsupervised the rest of the time. Its clearly another run at divisiveness by the great divider. This guy will tear this country apart.

Federal Game and Fish, highly likely.

State Game Wardens, no.

THIS IS FEDERAL PROBLEM!!!

Not state.

Cedar gap at Stillhouse isn't an attended gate and is never closed. There is no camping or hours of operation, what is the idea behind closing it? Doesnt make any since!

I read that the only ramps open on Whitney are Uncle Gus', Harbor Master, Juniper Cove and White Bluff. Are these all private ramps??

Some people must be planning on doing some illegal activity. In 3 different websites I've seen 28 comments asking if the game wardens are affected.

Game Wardens in Texas are still on the job. Cannot speak for other states, but most are state employees, I bet they are still working as well. Corp access is closed. Not the lakes. Our country has been through worst times, we will survive this as well.

copied straight off one of our coe lake level sites.

Because of the federal government shutdown, all Corps lakes are closed and Corps Lakes webpages are not operating. For more information, go to http://www.usace.army.mil.

this off the basszone, not verified but this is a wholly corps lake and no private access.

Arbuckle lake has been closed due to the Govt. Shutdown. I know that there were several tournaments scheduled this weekend As Well as people that travel to enjoy this lake. Just be aware they have closed it and actually ran people off the lake yesterday Morning in order to shut it down.

I doubt that they will try to mess with anyone if there is private access although they could apparently since the corp runs the whole lake.

I went to Arbuckle Lake yesterday morning.. they had the barricaded. You couldn't get within mile of the ramp.

Park ranger was sitting behind the barricade I asked him why I couldn't go unload. And that I had a annual pass. Only reply was the lake is closed and that it be bad idea for me to go around him.

Is Lake Conroe a COE lake? Had a coworker planning on campimg out there with his family this weekend?

He may need to re-think that if it is?
