Actually Alan Henry has escaped the bad part of the drought and kept pleny of water.
It is deep and clear and overloaded with small spotted bass. I think there are still some big bass in it but they feed at night and stay really deep. The spotted bass are everywhere now.

Retirement best job ever.

13' drop in 2 years. I would say that is not a good escape from drought / Lubbock water usage. At 7' a year it will be gone in 10 more years. That is bad news.

As far as the SAL... well they are tough to catch out there, but there are still some left. I caught a 13 in 2012 and had a client catch one this Spring. Just not turned in or out of season.

I think Alan Henry will turn in at least one, maybe two SAL this year. Another problem with Alan Henry is that a majority of the spawn happens after SAL closes (April 30), but there is still many 10+ lb fish caught every spring.

Fork, falcon ,o.h.ive or austin will have the first. Fork Will have the most just look at the stocking history.although i believe fish at falcoln have a faster growth rate.

These numbers are a little misleading.
