Free place to stay and going for photography tour. Fishing is just a day or two. There are several places just as good as the Tropic Star Lodge for less. Just not doing any Bluewater this time.

I see you haven't been there i a while bb. Dollar is the new currency except for coins. They take US coins and their old ones. There are several gated communities where Americans have retired. I plan on retiring in David in about 10 years with my wife who is from there. It's a shame China has taken over, but their government will sell out to whoever lines their pockets the most.

I was stationed there from 1989-1991 and fished Gatun Lake 2-3 days a week. We never caught anything over 5lbs, but the action is unreal. They school up on Gatun and you can easily catch 100 fish per day on jigs tipped with minnows. Ever so often, a Tarpon will snatch your PB and strip your line off. Watch the heat as the Panama humidity and sun can wipe you out quick.
