 Below dam at lake lavon

I'm going camping with some buddy's this weekend and we are going to be right by the dam at lake lavon. I literally have never been near this place and was wondering if I should take the fishing gear with me or not. Any tips are welcomed. We are going Friday staying over night and pulling out Saturday by noon.

CCabal used to do a lot of fishing down there. With the low water no telling what it's like. But as Woodrow Call told Newt "better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it".

When they lowered the water level to put the pipeline in by Hwy, 78 they drained the water into the creek on the other side of the little concrete dam by 78 and most of the fish went with the water.
I seriously doubt if there are many fish left in the part between Lavon and 78.
