I caught this in my thrownet yesterday at Ray Hub. Never caught one before, has me curious.

for one yes same family but a log perch is not A YELLOW PERCH they are very different that log perch is almost full grown a yellow perch gets bigger then a green sunfish I should know I used to catch them a lot in Maine

In the mid nineties TPWD stocked Yellow Perch in some community lakes up here. Don't think that worked out to well as I've never caught one.

over the years, TPWD has attempted MANY non-indigenous species, dang-near all of 'em un-successful. Nile perch Tarpon-Fresh Snook-Fresh walleye northern pike yellow perch blue tilapia redfish

I have caught a few before at Lake Lewisville in the Westlake Park area throwing my cast net. I never knew what they were before today. Thanks

I would consider the redfish stocking successful in several lakes such as calaveras.
