A guy that used to work for me warned his son-in-law that if he laid another hand on his daughter he would kill him. The sil smacked the daughter around again and he shot him dead. Laid his gun down and called the cops himself.
Had a HS friend that tried his best to shoot and kill a child predator that tried to force his little brother into his car. Cops frown on baiting them out.

I went to school with Russel Brewer. He was one of the three guys who dragged the guy in Jasper to death. He was executed last year. The other two are still on death row I believe. He was one grade ahead of me. He was very quiet and Uneventful in high school. No one picked on him as far as I know and never would have thought that he could have done something like that.

Had a pastor that killed his wife and the Church's secretary's husband. They made a movie out or the story: Murder Ordained
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

A lot more responses than I expected this late at night on the weekend. I went to school with at least a half dozen murders. Knew of them, only knew a couple though. I am not surprised by the amount of comments.

Yes, I have an acquaintance that murdered his brother. The guy actually recommended me for a position with an aircraft manufacturer. I flew with him many times.
He was building a shooting range in the Metromess. I did not know that he was a convicted felon. His brother was going to spill the beans on his criminal history and screw up the deal on the gun range. He shot his brother.
As a prosecuting attorney I prosecuted a young man who blew away an 80 something year old man because he wanted to know how it felt to shoot someone. I remember this story. Trophy Club area right?

I came close to beating a man to death because he hit my wife(ex now). If I hadn't been pulled off him I would have.

My best friend growing up his older brother was executed by lethal injection. I have lost touch with my friend over the years but was at his family's home about everyday growing up and when the crime occurred, its nothing compared to the victims family but is was tough seeing what this family was also going thru, you still love your son and brother but at the same time what he did your totally against plus most people in town treating you like you commited the crime because of your last name.

Yep. The family of my friend are very nice and good people. The parents are good people and upstanding members of the local community. You just never can tell where a killer is going to come from.

I was friends with the Payne's children, I stayed with a neighbor of theirs after school till my folks got off work and during the summer. One of the Payne's friends was Lee Harvey Oswald. I'm fairly sure he kept his rifle in a box on an upper shelf in their garage. I asked him what was in the box once when he was putting it up, he told me it was a model airplane but he would never show it to us. I was only in the 3rd grade at the time so I did not realize the airplane box contained his rifle until some years later when I was watching a documentary about Oswald and they explained his relationship with the Payne family and chills went up my the back of my neck.
