A little off topic, but here goes...
Last year I was driving down Naaman forest drive late one night and could've sworn I saw a deer just before the creek, and I told my dad and he told me I was crazy. We'll earlier tonight, on the way home from Walmart, they had to stop along with a few other cars to let 4 deer run across the road. I got a call from my dad apologizing for calling me crazy. He said it was around 8:30-9 p.m. Has anyone else happened to have seen them? I figured someone must have had them penned up somewhere, and they got out.

Deer are becoming more common in the suburbs of Dallas. They travel up and down creeks and the Trinity. Many years ago (50 or so)you never found deer in, say, Collin County. Now they're pretty common in the northern and eastern parts of the county. It's really not strange to think of deer in the suburbs. Look at Austin. They're all over the place there.

there were 6 deer in Carrollton/Lewisville southeast side of 121/35 interchange. I could see them very clear from the exit ramp heading north on 35 to east bound 121 ramp. They looked fat and happy. 6pm in the evening Friday

All native wildlife is adapting to urbanized areas instead of fleeing them.
This is actually the opposite than what the tree huggers said 20 years ago.

Saw two at Lavon a few months ago. I know someone who set up a game cam near there. He said there were lots of deer in his pics. Lots of hogs too of course.
