The strong bite is coming, soon as the water temp comes down a bit the crappie will become less lethargic and start to feed more aggresively as they make their journey to shallow water where they will spend most of their time feeding and preparing for spawn time. The bite is ok now however the stronger bite or louder thump is coming from the tater chips and most of the larger ones are just picking up the jig very lightly, this will change soon, soon as the weather can get rite. come on weather it's October 1st and still in the low 90's!
