not surprised that it is...Cypress Springs started earlier this week as well. Guess it will be a football watching Saturday instead of fishing.

How long should it last? Will the rain this weekend speed it up?

It began with the four cool nights in August, then subsided. This last front, all the rain and probably all the McDonalds boats LOL got it going in earnest. There was a definite change in the water from Saturday to Sunday last weekend. I'm guessing it'll take about 3 more weeks to finish. But you can still catch. Either super shallow or super deep.

Alot of peaple around here don't believe that but it's true Fouz. This has been a weird Summer and that cold front in Aug. actaully started a push on it and then it gradually got hot again and setteled it down. The major push started happening on Sunday afternoon. But I don't think it will take three weeks to finish up this year. With another cold front and rain coming this weekend I think it will speed up the process some. We will see.

Fork even started showing signs in July. I talked about it July 23rd as water was stained, bite slowed, and those jelly fish things were starting to show. It warmed up right after that and I think slowed the process.
