14, I think he is to that age where he would like to start catching decent size fish. Instead of just corking with shrimp. So I'm not sure how to adjust to that.

i have been trying different spots with my 14 yo and we both really enjoyed the east beach entrance. he got his first bullred there. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...ce_#Post9205642 we liked it there because we figured the fish are going in and out with the tides. we used a propane lantern are first trip there when caught the red and we had a spotlight and generator on the second and pulled in a bunch of nice specks. evening into night seems to be the better time and cut mullet seems to be the bait of choice. it is fun just to watch the large ships going in and out. to the left of bridge and to the left of where the others usually fish seem to be the spot. you might see a little plastic bottle floating out in the water and if you can cast it out around it then you should get a bite.
