Howdy, y'all. This will be my 3rd annual trip to Palestine in September, and I'm curious what is the best lure(s), color(s), and presentation to use on Palestine this time of year? I've had some luck the last two years, but want to catch some bigger fish this year. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Where at on Palestine do you plan on fishing?

SR, I have had some luck in Caney Bay. Also heard some good things about Flat Bay, so we'll probably give that a shot. I'm open for suggestions, though, as this will be just my 3rd time on Palestine.

Saline bay is my spot

black and blue is very hard to beat on palestine. but I would be shallow with shad colored baits if I were you. But if you flip, black and blue whatever bait you like

Kickapoo creek is one of my favorites, either a jig or a black blue worm t-rigged

my best baits on Palestine are wacky rigged finesse worms, spinnerbait with single gold Colorado blade (small size) pitched up near the brush and grass around banks. shaky head finesse worms work great too. would say where my hot spots are, but a club tourney this weekend prohibits me from sharing (spies everywhere). so, on second thought, there are no bass in lake Palestine to be caught! my advise is to fish somewhere else. LOL

What do you usually target in saline bay? I usually don't have much luck there. Thinking maybe the timber in one of the fingers will be my next attempt at something different.
