PB - 35# Blue Catfish Alexx PB - 7 lbs. Blue Catfish As far as Paul is concerned, he is my Bro. Lay off him. All is good. I might be in, just to hang with Paul. Sounds like a party.

Ditch the shrimp. Use some fresh cut baitfish or cracked blue crab

fish daylight or dusk , use a popping cork or a Carolina style slide rig . Use live shrimp, mullet , fresh dead , etc . There are tons of various fish that hang jetty side or icw . Try fishing the beach in the first cut with fresh bait on the bottom , tons of whiting , croaker , mangrow snapper , sand trout , last month i caught slot reds playing in the first gut . Just throw it out and real in real slow something gonna grab it

im heading to the jetty Saturday, curious to know how you did today. I really want to catch a mangrove or two, never have. Popping cork with live shrimp seems to be the answer eh?
Happy fishing!

i caught a 2 ft blacktip,7 inch florida pompano and a skipjack got there at like 9;30 am and stayed till 1;00 i used a popping cork with a 2 ft leader for the shark and a cork with a 7 foot leader for the other stuff, for bait i used live shrimp, some guess next to me were using live fish about 4 inches long and getting nice sized fish. i dont really know what i'm doing and cant cast very far with my pole so you will probably do better haha

Thanks for the report, i will report back Saturday when I get home. I have fished around there several times, and havnt gotten a pompano yet, so congrats on a good day!
Thanks for the tips, How far down the jetty did you end up going? See any redfish being caught?
Happy fishing!
