I've got a good friend who lets me fish is stock ponds. The biggest is close to 4 acres. I have NO issues catching tons of 2-4 pound channels on DannyKings but nothing over 5 pounds.. However after watching him seine it one evening I was floored at some of the HUGE channels in there. Some have to be in the double digits. So back to my question.. Would using cut bait that's fairly large do the trick? If so is shad or perch the best option? I appreciate you help..

Cut shad will do. If they don't like it. I usually have awesome luck in ponds with giant night crawlers!

I'm with Tom, if its full of little sunfish or blue gills, use them, thats what is likely to catch the larger preditors.
Catch and release into the grease!

Good point there. Bream/perch was the main thing I saw.. I guess I could get there early and catch a few and use them. Thank you again.. I'm going out in the next couple of weeks, I'll post up some pictures if I catch any good ones..

In some stables and barn yards, after a good rain, you can find some really-really big grub worms that come to the top cause of the water. The grub worms are 3 times or more bigger than the ones you might dig up in your lawn grass. They are huge, and it's like putting a piece of candy on the hook to the cats. The big fat body just burst with grubb gooey goodness. You will get bites and many of them,
