 What trolling motor do you guys use?

I recently purchased a tracker 175 TXW with a Minn Kota Edge 45 LB trolling motor. It worked well until yesterday when we got a little taste of future "spring wind". I'm going to need something else as it was worthless in that wind.
I busted the prop trying to get myself out of a small cove at PK going against a vicious wind. Ended up us grabbing the big paddle I have and manhandling the boat out and using the Merc. The prop is easy to replace but I don't need the drama. Another issue is that the wind forced me to use the motor on top speed a lot and it sucked the battery dry.

Minn Kota, it also has a shaft that will not bend, like a Motor Guide

Minn kota terrova with i-pilot works great for me highly recommend it definitely worth the price

the biggest 24v that you can put on it. Not unless you can put a 36v.

Currently a MK Fortrex and hate it. Always ran MG until this boat. If I could find someone to swap a MG 109 w/ 50" shaft I'd swap in a heart beat.

I have a tracker 175 targa with a walk thru windshield, so it sits pretty high and catches a lot of wind. I have a terrova 80 24v with iPilot and 60 inch shaft. It handles my boat just fine....make sure you get a shaft long enough to keep it in the water in big waves.

Thanks guys. I will be replacing the edge with the biggest Minn Kota I can get. better too much than not enough.

Motorguide saltwater ready Mako with 50lb thrust. Its because I go back and forth.
