Braved the rain and winds and went fishing with some buddies Saturday(9/21) on the surf right before the San Luis Pass bridge on Galveston side. The conditions were horrible but fishing was not. No weeds and water was rough and looked like chocolate milk. We caught a total of 8 Bull Reds in a few hours in the first gut using cut mullet. They were not hitting live mullet. All fish were returned back to the water safely. Here are a few pics.

We used 6/0 to 9/0 circle hooks. I was using the "mouse trap" rig and my other buddies were using the "fish finder" rig with a 6 ounce spider weight. Make sure to put a big chunk of mullet on there to keep the little guys(Gaft top, hard heads) from eating it. Good Luck!
