There is a salt water barrier beloww Hwy. 73 but there are still some salt water species in the bayou, mainly crabs I guess. I have cought catfish and bass there but haven't tried for carp. They should be there if you can keep the crabs from getting your bait. b
If I'm not fishing or hunting I'm hunting a place to fish or hunt.

I've never seen any carp in there but they may be there. Its brackish water but it really fluctuates based on the rain. It gets salty when its dry and fresh when the rain flushes it out. There's some construction on hwy 73 that muddies the water up every time it rains
