I need to replace the bunks on my 04 ranger trailer. My question is there any difference in the $20 12' roll of bunk carpet (I'll need at least 3 roll $60) and the indoor/outdoor carpet from Lowes that will cost less than $20 total? Also glue or no glue I've read both. I'm going to build up the bunks with new hardware and brackets and swap out the bunks at the lake. All suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

I used the Lowes Outdoor junk on my last boat trailer and it started to tear at the corners with in a few months I was not happy. I just did all new brackets and carpet on my ranger but I used the original wood because it was in good shape and picked up some of the Bunk Rolls of carpet from Bass Pro and it came out awesome! I was even able to get it in Blue so it matched the Boat Carpet.

I have had the Lowes carpet on for a couple of years now with no issues. I used a staple gun and wrapped the carpet around to the back. No issues yet.
Put the plug in.

My glass boat is at 4yrs on the Cheap Lowe's marine carpet, both on the decks and the bunks. So far it has held up fine. It's not as nice as some of the better marine carpet out there, but my glass boat is somewhat of a beater anyway. On the bunks, I glued it, wrapped it, then stapled it on the bottom side of the bunk.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

I have done mine a couple of times. I buy the carpet at HD and use treated boards. Usually about the the time the carpet wears out the boards need to be replaced because the lags are backing out. I do not glue it because I see no real need. I staple only using standard staples. Some use the SS ones and you can but no need in my opinion. Buying the precut stuff would be the same as flushing a couple of Jacksons down the sewer.
