I have a tournament that I'm fishing on lake Grapevine oct. 5, what are the lake levels like? And what ramps are still good to put out on?

Was there Tuesday and Thursday and the lake is low but the ramp at Katie woods is good to launch plus with this rain it should be better.

Be VERY VERY careful when launching from Katie's woods. I DO NOT recommend using the left side(when looking down at the ramp) the end of the ramp on the left side is probably 20ft from the waterline. I am 5'9" and the end of the ramp is only belt level deep. The right side of the ramp is about 4' longer. The drop at the end of the ramp is almost 2'. If the water level does not rise from the rain I recommend somebody checking the ramp prior to your Oct 5th event. Wednesday the water level showed 525.77(this is above sea level elevation). I would say at 525.5 your back tires on a 20ft boat will be in the danger zone. I know I will not be making anymore trips alone with the water level below 526 because of the angle of the ramp and close proximity to the end it makes loading and unloading difficult.

There was a gentleman in a ski boat Wednesday night that fell off the end of the ramp and popped a tire coming back up the drop.

Please everyone be advised the lake is 10' low and the ramp is nearly unusable. USE extreme caution not to back in too far!

Here is the USGS water level page that I use to judge.

I use Katie's woods on a daily basis and had no problems. Dove loop on the other hand I wouldn't use.

Jeff,

Thank you for letting everyone know. I launched there last weekend and feel grateful that I didn't find out the hard way.

Catfish is good, as far as I could tell with Z520.

Anyone know if the low water ramp in Meadowmere Park ever opened?

It is very strange that the lake is very low and the "low water" ramp has been closed all summer...
