I've always wanted to try this. Fishing the seams in the current where the creek dumps into the lake. It seems that the creek would wash all sorts of goodies into the lake for the catfish to feast on. I have no boat so it's kinda tough to try this method, but every time we have some good rain I think about this situation. Who's tried this and how was it?

Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing that it might take a little while for the fish to concentrate in these areas? I'm also wondering if there are big fish feeding in these areas? I have wanted to do this for quite some time and this rain just had me pondering the possibilities...

It is the best it usually takes 1 to 2 days before its good. Lots of fish can be caught doing this. If you try go to kings creek just outside of Kemp. Goodluck

^^^ couldnt be further from the truth
Fresh water river runs will produce excellent catchs as the water is rising. The trick is to fish as close to the bank as you can during the rain as the river rises.(4-6')
At places with low river water levels all cat species will
react to new water almost immediately.

Its best to have a bait they prefer sitting there waiting on them

There's a river at the north end of my local lake. That end of the lake is pretty shallow 2-7ft. I was thinking that area should be a good spot to anchor up by.I have never tryed fishing run offs but since the opportunity has presented itself ill give it a shot. Im probably going to try it out Sunday!

IMO bud..we Always find some slack water around a bend and toss a few out into the current and let it drift a few down to where ever it stops and throw a few into the slack water and Hold on if they are they it will not take long before you cant keep your baits in the water..

Will do. I probably should have went today because the rain stopped around here early this morning. But I'll still give it a shot tomorrow.

3.5" of rain yesterday and my little slice of heaven did not disappoint me this morning. I caught over a dozen of these beauties this morning. Been waiting close to 3 years to hit this spot. Lack of significant rain in the area had really put a damper on this spot. NOT TODAY!
