7 to 14 feet at Fork last week. Still 100 temps and water temp at 86.5. They've been in that depth all summer.

I may swing by La Mancha tomorrow, even though I know it's way, way, way too early for the good fishing out there.

We only have dropped maybe 10 on the water temp I would think that we have at least a few weeks or maybe another month before we see the in the 7 ft or less. But thats crappie fishing just go out and try to get you sum.

Forgive my limited knowledge on fall crappie, still consider myself new to crappie angling,.......but........they move to shallow waters as the temps fall? Would I be able to find them in creeks, rivers, shallow lake coves?

Went to Leon a few week ago and tried a few different depths and found keeper crappie in 13 fow, using a blue/white tube jig and a pink/chart hand tied jig. And that was in timber by chock-o-block. Proctor I have used the same color jigs but in 8-10fow.went this morning but the wind did not work in my favor only kept three. I am off Monday-Wed.and plan on going one of those mornings to Proctor, give me a shout and maybe we can work out a trip one of those mornings.

Water temp is down to 81 here on Cypress Springs. Caught some singles out of bp's in 12 fow yesterday, but the majority were still in 20'.
