On Wednesday I had Dyer and his son Chris out for a morning of relaxing. Chris is in the restaurant business and that business hardly ever closes their doors, so it can be busy. Chris enjoyed the quiet morning on the water. The bite was lite as has been the case lately, there fore lots of missed hook sets. They ended the morning with 27 nice cats to 9# for the fillet table. All fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, under corks, in 4-10 foot water.  Today, Friday, I had Wayne and his sons Corey and Kyle out for a morning on the water. Kyle is home from Afganistan for a while and normally lives in Spokane, WA, so he was in for a visit. The bite was a little more aggressive, however several missed hook sets again. Kyle was on the fish pretty quick and showed everyone how to get them in the boat from the start. They ended the morning with 50 cats, largest going 8.5#, several over 8#. I figured between 4-5# average, making the 50 cats weigh 200#+. Not a bad morning on the water for rod n reel fishing. All fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, under corks, in 4-12 foot water. This is a nice cooler of fillets.
