Belive it or not nasworthy used to be my least favorite lake in fhe world but I have been on it almost every single day since early june and it is now my favorite lake. She will put amistad to shame right now. You just have to know how to catch them, the local weekly tournoments on nasworthy have been taking over 20 pounds with 3 fish to win. Sadly o.c is bone dry, I live on the river that feeds it and it has been dry since summer. Hopefully this rain will get it flowing again.

I never fished Nasworthy except from the shoreline, no boat back then. Always liked O.C. Fisher after finding an arrowhead the first time there. Once got stuck in my car and hitched a ride back into town. Got a friend with 4 wheel drive and big knobbies to take me and several friends back to get me out. Hooting and hollaring he cut the biggest donut I've ever seen as he circled my car, mud flying everywhere. He promptly burried his truch where you could rest your chin on the roof of his Blazer as soon as he tried to pull me out. rolfmao Lots of friendly folks tried to help get us out. Six cars and trucks stuck before a professional tow guy was called to get us all out.

Great bass. Would you look at the head on that bass.

Real nice fish... did you weigh her?

I fished NastyWater a bunch when I went to ASU from 2001-2005. You ever run into Charlie Lovelace? When I got into kayak fishing me and him fished a bunch together. I just looked up the lake record at Nasworthy and see that he still holds it... caught it out of his kayak. Saw the fish on his wall one day when I went to his house and he showed me how to do some fiberglass repair on my kayak.
