Fluke! You can also crimp on a very small split shot about 6 inches from the lure to your line and let it sink a little before retrieving it.

Spook or Fluke. A weightless floating bubblegum worm can be deadly in that situation too.

Rattle Trap. Black or Blue Back Chrome 1/4oz. Had this exact thing happen to me 2 weeks ago and I tried an A-Rig and NOOOOOO Luck! Very picky fish until I changed my settings on my Hydrowave. (Still would not hit the A-Rig though!)

It's early morning, sun is just rising. You're in about 10 ft of water and bass are blowing up, randomly, all around you one after another..not necessarily schooling, I guess just feeding. Water is 84ish*, the time of year is today.
What would you throw out there? Yellow magic, Pop R, etc.

@Bill D. how about a fishing report for fayette? I heard the bass are supposed to school this time of year? I don't really catch fish so I probably shouldn't be writing fishing reports. But if I did it'd be something like... "Beat the bank for for 5 hours, lost $12 in lures caught nothing. Went deep, threw a carolina rig, in the blistering heat, caught nothing. Got sunburned. Mistook gar for bass, chased them for 1 hour, lost another $4 lure... caught nothing. Drowned my sorrows with a chicken friend steak at Orsaks. Went home. Bite was tough." I need to pick up one of these Yellow Magics yall speak of.
