Ok guys, I will be in destin all of next week. I know nothing about saltwater fishing but imam an avid bass fisherman. What should I buy to fish from the shore? How do I rig up? I will probably rent poles there if I can. Any info or helpful videos appreciated

Take your bass equipment, topwaters, spinner baits, flukes will catch reds and trout. Go on the bay side of the island, wade the grass and potholes, you'll figure it out.
Or hire a guide, there's plenty of them there also.

Keep an eye out for fish busting bait on the beach as well. Small spoons should match the hatch.

You can use your bass gear on the pier and catch all the spanish mackerel you want. Use gotchas or bubble rigs, all can be bought at any tackle shop.
