I've been interested in the water level of Ray Hubbard since the summer of 2006. I remember both Hubbard and Lavon got real low that summer, but I don't have any numbers. I can remember folks saying Lavon was 17 feet low.

The lowest number I have for Hubbard was December 1, 2011 when the recorded depth was 428.97 or 6.53 feet low. At the current rate a new low will happen sometime this week. We are only about 3 inches above that as of today.

Can any of you remember Hubbard at a lower level. I know some of you, like Doug G, have fished this lake for decades.

I'm on Lake Palestine, and we are not that low. But our low water mark that I can find was in Nov. 2011 when we were right at 7' low.

Fortunately it did rain and several months later we were full. And we have been close to full ever since until the past several months. We are now 2.5' low.

We are also praying for rain.

A few years ago, maybe 4, it was lower than it is now. I was out Thursday and many of the stumps we saw down south that year are not showing yet.

Yeah only a couple of years ago there were several stumps down near the gravel pit and between the gravel pit and the tree. I marked those on my gps but I am not close to my boat to get the date. Summer 2011? I havent seen those stumps this year yet, but I was out three weeks ago? Its another good chance to go mark those hazards. Make sure to stay WIDE around points.

Well the good side is there is less body of water and easiEr to corner the fish? grin

I am praying for the hurricane down south to bring some good rain here this week. angel

Looks like the hurricane is going to stay down toward Mexico. Maybe the next one.

These two sites show you the daily levels for Hubbard and Lavon for the past six years. Wish I could get into their archives for years earlier...

Hubbard - http://rayhubbard.uslakes.info/Level.asp
Lavon - http://rayhubbard.uslakes.info/Level.asp

You can search for other lakes on this site.

Here's a chart that goes back to 1997. I've fished the lake 30+ years and have been staying at Harbor Bay for over 20-years. 2011 was bad. The last bad one before that was in 2007 I think. They had to move the slips out back in2007. I was told Friday they are moving my boat dock (B) out starting tomorrow. One of our buddies and Forum members, Roy, is in the first slip on B-Dock and had to move his boat to a deeper stall temporarily. It's bad. We need to get a deluge soon....
