Should they be legal or illegal during tournaments?

I don't see the big problem with the A rig. It's just another tool for the fisherman. I don't really like using it myself. It will wear you out pretty much like a Mann's 30+.
I guess they will get rid of techniques next. Strolling comes to mind.

Just another search bait IMO. It doesnt guarantee you're gonna wear em out. I say leave it.

There is nothing wrong with strolling in flw and bass the only rule for it is no trolling so I personally enjoy it and don't see anything wrong with it besides it helps reach depths that are normally unable to be reached!

Of course it should be allowed, everyone can use it so it's not an advantage to anyone.
This is getting as ridiculous as the belly putter in golf argument.

Hey I don't care one way or the other. I have a job that supports me and the family, and I don't fish tournaments to make a living. I did fish a tourney where one of the contestants placed using one. So I was just wondering what is the opinion of others. I think it should be legal.

I thought BASS came up with something against strolling when one guy possibly strolled a crankbait down to 30' or something.

I agree, just another bait. In no way does it guarantee bigger fish or more fish. I think it's weird that every state has a law for them. I'm from Indiana...no more than 3 hooked baits on A Rigs...fished for smallies on Dale Hallow...2 hooked baits..come to Texas, as many as you want. Living in colorado now..back to 3. It's like saying, you cant have more than two blades on a spinner bait. As long as its not live, freakin use it!!! Or at least try it.

I would ban the hydro-wave before the A-rig.

I think FLW looked at a few things when they axed it. First was answering the question "where do you draw the line?" One rig only? 5 Baits, 3 baits? Guys fish a tournament straddling a border where one state has stricter regulations about the rig and they have to police the anglers. Probably didn't want the negative pub like BASS got with the Palaniuk situation.
