Do I need a boat sticker for the yak? Seems that the boat sticker covers parking/launching at public launches.
I searched this forum, TPWD, and City of FtWorth sites, and didn't find anything about kayaks.

Locals have any guidance on stickers - also any advice on which way to go from the bridge? Towards the islands or dam? Fishing for bass/crappie.

I've been there twice. I don't have any special anything. I may be wrong.

Ive been there a few times and never even thought about a sticker. I don't think you need one otherwise it would be posted somewhere on a sign at the launch,... One would think so anyway

i fish there all the time... and have never heard of needing a sticker. talked to game wardens at the casino beach ramp as i launched and they have never said anything. if it makes you feel comfortable and not worry, then i'd say get one. tight lines

It is my understanding from the posted signs at Ramp that if launching with a trailer then a sticker is required. I have been lauching kayak from the truck bed with NO sticker for several years and hae encountered no issues.

I'm almost positive you don't have to have one to use a kayak because the last time I got a sticker to launch my boat the instructions said to put it on the trailer instead of the boat. I've been checked by the police on the lake while kayaking without a sticker and no mention was made of it

Much appreciated! That is good info.
TPWD says the facilities require a fee:
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/worth/access.phtml

And Fort WOrth just has info on where to buy stickers:
http://fortworthtexas.gov/water/info/default.aspx?id=4618

The trailer thing makes sense, but I don't use one so I guess I'm good to go.

Gonna go test out the waters over there soon. Hopefully find a few bass or sandies.

Thanks again guys!

I do know there at the 820 bridge you will need to pay a fee to launch off boat ramp. The Texaco coming in is where an officer told me to pay fees. He did say that if I walked just under the bridge and put in off the bank that it wouldnt cost me anything. Just a little heads up there.
